Mike Bennett – Ghost in the Kitchen remix/rewrite
Mike B is like no other musician I’ve heard. While tendering some jazz guitar styling he vocalizes the rhythm and the melody simultaneously with his mouth and throat. I hate to say ‘beat box’ because it is far more brilliant than that. Introduced through mutual friends I made a remix for one of his tracks. The remix “Ghost in the kitchen” is ridiculous. Think Dr. Who, Mortal Combat, and The Rough Riders and you’ll be getting there. It strays heavily from the original and I’ve heard one person say, “I don’t even know what kind of music this is…”. I’d have to agree. It’s almost not listenable. Be sure to check Mike B’s site and grab the original here
